In 1923, the institution became the Queensland Agricultural High School and College, integrating into the state's educational system. During World War II, from 1942 to 1944, the campus was repurposed as a U.S. Army hospital, treating over 19,000 servicemen.
Post-war, the college resumed its educational role, expanding programs and facilities. In 1990, it merged with The University of Queensland, becoming UQ Gatton Campus. Today, it continues to be a hub for agricultural, animal, and environmental sciences.
